The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Accra, Mohammed Adjei Sowah, has lost his wife.
Announcing in a statement addressed to the media, the Management of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) said Madam Fuseina Seidu died while receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
“It is with deep sadness that the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) announces to the general public the sudden demise of the wife of its Chief Executive, Hon. Mohammed Adjei Sowah.
“The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday 1st June 2021 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) where she was receiving treatment,” the statement said.
She was buried yesterday per Islamic rites, the statement added.
The statement from AMA read: ”It is with deep sadness that the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) announces to the general public the sudden demise of the wife of its Chief Executive, Hon. Mohammed Adjei Sowah.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday 1st June 2021 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) where she was receiving treatment.
Madam Fuseina Seidu who has been buried in line with Islamic tradition is survived by one child.
The AMA, therefore, wishes to convey the deep sympathies of its staff and the people of Accra to the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Accra, Hon. Mohammed Adjei Sowah, the child and the entire family in these difficult times.”
