An aspiring Students’ Representative Council President for the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), David Nana Appiah aka Farman, has donated praying mates and several buta to the Muslim community on campus.

The candidate was accompanied by members of his campaign team for the donation exercise today, Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

He told Rainbowradioonline.com. that the reason for the donation was identifying that our Muslim brothers needed such materials for their worship.

He said the basic thing our Muslim brothers and sisters needed was the praying mat and buta, and as a leader, he thought it wise to donate the items.
The aspirant indicated that the items would go a long way to contribute to the spiritual life of the Muslim community on campus.

David Nana Appiah admonished the Muslim community to continue to pray for him and the school.
He expressed his readiness to distinguish himself as SRC President should he be elected.

In his view, the students’ body needs a leader with a vision, someone who is transparent, accountable and credible.

He stated that students need to collectively support each other in ensuring a fruitful stay on campus.

The Muslim community on campus expressed their gratitude to the aspirant and wished him well in his campaign.
