Sustainable development expert Mr. Michael Ebo Amoah has taken a swipe at the government over what he has described as poor management of the #FixTheCountry issue.
The political analyst and lecturer said the government is rather making heroes and heroines out of the campaigners by preventing them from staging their demonstration.
To him, if the government had allowed the demonstrators to stage their demonstration, we would have moved on.
Government communication surrounding the campaign he suggested has been poor and terribly managed.
He also took a swipe at the President and other appointees who have breached the covid-19 protocols and yet, have refused to allow the campaigners to demonstrate.
He told host Kwabena Agyapong that there is hypocrisy in our system and the Police have also become a political tool for our government.
He advised the government to take the issues raised by the campaigners seriously and address them instead of attacking the demonstrators.
He said there was no need to insult or trivialize the issues because the issues are genuine.
President Akufo-Addo he noted is destroying his known credentials as a human rights activist and freedom fighter.
Mr. Ebo Amoah went on to state that the youth of Ghana are not happy with what is happening currently and want better leadership.
He said it would take someone who is not knowledgeable to claim that Ghana does not need fixing.
He warned the #FixTheCountry will affect the outcome of the 2024 elections hence the need for the government to meet the organizers halfway and address their issues.
He said several young people are disoriented and disappointed in the system and the way the NPP has performed.
