Residents in Assin Manso, a suburb in the Assin South District of the Central Region are in a state of mourning after a vehicle hit and killed a young man in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the young man who is known as Oboo from Assin Besease in the same said District was knocked down by the vehicle and had his body dragged to a far distance.
According to the information gathered by Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ambrose, the youth in the area were enjoying(dancing) themselves at Assin Manso on the Assin Foso – Cape Coast Highway during the Emancipation Celebration on Saturday, July 31, 2021, around 10 pm and the said Car hit him, dragged him a distance and left him there.
The sad news occurred when the deceased, Oboo, was busy dancing on the highway, refusing to allow cars to use the road.
The situational report revealed that the driver wasn’t aware the deceased was under the car until he dragged him [deceased] to a far distance and alleged drove off.
The residents alleged that the vehicle was branded in Stanbic Bank colours.
