The Secretary to President Akufo-Addo Nana Bediatuo Asante has responded to a request demanding the suspension of Chief Justice Kwasi (CJ) Anin Yeboah
In a letter, he said it was is premature to ask the CJ to be suspended.
According to his letter, the President is yet to constitute a committee to inquire into a petition seeking the removal of the CJ.
Pressure Group Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) had asked for the suspension of the CJ following the alleged $5 million bribery allegation against him.
A private legal practitioner Akwasi Afrifa accused the CJ of demanding a 5 million dollar bribe to deliver a favorable judgment in a case involving his client.
The CJ has since denied the allegations and asked the Police CID to probe the matter.
But ASEPA wants the CJ to be suspended.
However, the letter from the presidency says the request is premature.
