Report reaching Rainbowradioonline.com indicates that three suspected armed robbers have been gunned down by personnel of the Ghana Police Service in a crossfire.
The incident occurred at the Shiashie Bus Stop in Accra off the N4 Highway.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the armed men numbering six engaged in an attack on Monday, August 9 and quickly fled the scene.
The suspected robbers reportedly went to sit at the Bus Stop off the Accra-Adenta bound section of the Highway near Kingdom FM, pretending to be waiting for a bus in order not to raise suspicion.
They were then spotted by ununiformed police officers who trailed them [suspected robbers] to their resting point in an attempt to arrest them.
But the suspected robbers upon, seeing the police, engaged them in the crossfire, a situation that resulted in the death of the three suspected robbers.
Meanwhile, two of the robbers have been arrested.
