The 21st general assembly of Ghana (PCG) has been opened at the Victory Congregation on Monday 16th August 2021 at Fafraha near Adentan in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
This year’s Assembly, which is under the theme: “Jesus Christ, the Light of the World” (John 8:12) is being, chaired by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante.
The General Assembly, which is the highest decision making body of the PCG, has attracted about 250 Commissioners, and Corresponding Members from all the 21 Presbyteries of the Church, both home and abroad. (Some Commissioners and Corresponding Members have joined virtually).
Major highlights of the four-day Assembly include Opening Devotion, Opening Ceremony by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante which include his address to the Assembly, report by the Clerk of General Assembly, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, presentation of the Church’s 2021 budget, and Prayer Sessions.
The General Assembly will review activities of the Church in the previous year, plan for the ensuing year, and serve as a platform for fellowship, interactions and networking among Commissioners and Corresponding Members.
The 20th General Assembly will also take decisions that will guide the activities of the Church in subsequent years.
