John Dramani Mahama yesterday (18th August 2021) presented bags of maize, gallons of palm oil, assorted drinks, and cash to the Chiefs and People of Ga West for the celebration of their annual Homowo festival.
The 2020 NDC Flagbearer was represented by Madam Sherry Ayitey, a Vice-Chairperson of the Party, Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, MP for Odododiodioo and Chairman of the Greater Accra Parliamentary Caucus, and Hon. Nii Okai Laryea, former MP for the Amasaman Constituency.
In her speech, Madam Ayitey said, it was the intention of H.E. John Mahama to physically spend time with the Chiefs and the People but circumstances beyond him have made it impossible.
He, however, through the various MPs sent tokens of support to the Chiefs and People of Lante Dzan We, Ga Mashie, Teshie, and Nungua and it’s now the turn of the Chiefs and people of Amasaman and other Ga West Chiefs Association. He thanked the Chiefs for their support and wish them well in their celebrations.
