Two women have been hit by a stray bullet at Tutuka a suburb of Obuasi.
An eyewitness said some gun-wielding men riding on motorbikes shot sporadically during the burial of the Dagomba chief in the area.
According to the eyewitness, the bullet hit the women who are traders of maize and meat in a market in the area.
The riders who allegedly shot the guns failed to attend to the women and sped off.
”We witnessed what happened, and it was terrible. Why should you be shooting because you are going to bury a chief? Do you want to kill people because you want to bury a dead chief?
This should not be entertained again in this area. The two could die as a result of the incident. They did not even wait to attend to the women. They sped off,” another witness said.
The traders and commercial drivers in the area said it was not proper for them to have fired the gunshots, especially when the area is an area for commercial activities.
