The Ghana Health Service has announced it would begin the administration of the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on August 31, 2021.
The exercise will go on in all the 29 districts in the Greater Accra Region.
Persons who took the first vaccine are advised to bring along their national ID card and the Covid-19 vaccination card to the designated facilities.
According to a press release issued on 27th August 2021, members of the general public who are eligible to partake in the exercise were people above 18 years who received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine from 10th March 2021 to 29th March 2021.
GHS also urged all eligible persons to participate in the exercise.
It further advised the public to adhere to the safety protocols.
