The Special Anti-robbery task force in the Eastern Region has arrested 21 suspects in possession of unlicensed weapons.
The 21 suspects are herdsmen and were arrested in possession of firearms and other offensive weapons without lawful authority.
The suspects are between ages 20 and 51and arrested at Donkorkrom on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
The Police retrieved 17 machetes, some foreign pistols, three locally manufactured pistols, four single barrel short guns, two daggers, 66 live AAA and 12 BB cartridges, eleven 410 cartridges, ten 7.65 mm ammunition and 19 mobile phones.
All the suspects are in custody and awaiting trial, a statement issued by the Police said.
