Traders at the Kumasi City Market have threatened to stop paying electricity bills from Monday.
The City Market has only two meters serving all traders who occupy over 7,200 stalls.
According to the traders, the current arrangement is a fleece and efforts to have management address the issue has proved futile.
The traders told Nyanklonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that each stall pays between 100 and 200 cedis a month.
Chairman of the Traders Association Agya Obeng said they have given the management a week ultimatum to address the issue or face their wrath.
They have proposed a one-stall-one meter initiative so the traders would pay their bills.
The traders have also tied red flags in front of their shops to register their displeasure.
