Nine persons are feared dead in floods in the Upper East Region.
According to a situational report released by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), the deceased comprised four males and five females.
The information gathered by Rainbowradioonline.com indicates that three of the girls between ages 16 and 20 drowned in the Kanufor community in the Chereponi district while washing their clothes in the Lamm River.
The girls reportedly drowned in an attempt to swim.
They were four, but one of them managed to run out of the water, the statement added.
