The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has described the sale of recruitment forms by the security agencies as fraudulent.
The party says the move is an abuse of the fundamental rights of potential recruits who are expressing interest in joining the security agencies.
Chairman of the party Nana Akosua Frimpomaa who addressed journalists on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, stated that the sale of the recruitment must end with an immediate effect.
She opined that the security agencies would be recruiting a limited number of potential recruits but would sell forms above the recruits they intend to employ.
She asked the security agencies to refund the money they have collected from potential recruits because the current approach being used is “legalized corruption”.
The approach used in the recruitment of security personnel she stated had led to indiscipline and misconduct on the part of some officers in the various security services.
According to her, corruption under this administration is terrible and had led to several businesses in the private sector collapsing.
The situation she lamented has caused unemployment and forcing several graduates to depend on the state for jobs.
She gave the government three weeks ultimatum to stop the sale or face the wrath of the CPP.
