A final year student of the university of Education, Winneba, main campus identified as Majid Saani has reportedly died in a mood of jubilation after writing his final paper.
The young man who was also a gymnastics student died on admission at the hospital when doctors were preparing to operate on him.
A close friend of the deceased Bright Oppong speaking on Nyankonton My Nsem on Rainbow 87.5Fm said the deceased was flipping but unfortunately fell on his neck and was rushed to the hospital.
According to him, he was first rushed to the trauma hospital after the incident on Monday.
However, the situation was severe so they were referred to the Legon Hospital.
Upon reaching the Legon hospital, there was no specialist and so, they had to be sent to the 37 Military Hospital.
Oppong further disclsoed that they were asked to deposit Ghc3,000 before a surgery is done.
But later, the doctors demanded for a series of tests and that was when “we realized the he would not survive”.
He was declared dead on Thursday and his death has shocked us, he added.
He said, already, a professor of the school has passed and we are already mourning him and unfortunately that of our friend has added more pain.
