The Mental Health Authority has asked the media and other partners not to relent in their support towards suicide awareness.
The Authority also wants corporate bodies especially telecommunications companies to support them as they embark on an awareness creation in reducing suicide in Ghana.
The Authority further wants Ghanaians to seek knowledge on mental health especially the warning signs of suicidal thoughts.
The knowledge gained a statement issued to commemorate the world suicide prevention day said could help save lives.
As of June 2021, over 470 people had attempted suicide, a situation the Authority described as disturbing.
To them, the figure is painfully far too high since one case of suicide is alarming.
