The National Premix Fuel Secretariat has announced the suspension of the distribution of premix fuel in the Central Region.
The Secretariat said in its statement that the suspension was done as part of a punitive measure for illegal fishing activities.
The statement said illegal fishing activities are viewed seriously by the Fisheries Ministry and its allied agencies considering the negative impacts on fishing.
The affected areas are British Komenda, Moree, Abandze and Dago.
