A woman believed to be in her early 40s has met her untimely death after a water tanker hit her at Kasoa.
The woman, who has been identified as Amalia had her brains gushing out after she was hit by the car.
The incident happened specifically at Free town junction on the Kasoa Obom new market road after a water tanker with car registration number AW 1047 – Z hit.
She was crossing the road to their side.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman went to the Kasoa new market to purchase items so in an attempt to cross the road to her house, an okada rider stopped to give her the chance to cross but the water tanker driver failed to stop and hit the woman and allegedly ran over her leaving her brain gushing out.
The driver of the tanker vehicle after realizing what had happened reported himself to the Police.
The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue.
However, the family has by Islamic rites buried her.
