President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reacted to the death of Ama Benyiwa-Doe.
The President in a short post on his Facebook page said he felt sad hearing the passing of his former colleague in Parliament.
He described her as a good friend and asked God to grant her a peaceful rest.
Former Central Regional Minister and a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ama Benyiwa Doe died on Sunday.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that the astute female politician died Sunday morning at Tema, where she was receiving treatment after being unwell.
She was a former National Women Organiser for the NDC also served as the MP for Gomoa West from 1992 to 2004.
