The Police Administration has cautioned individuals and groups who have planned to embark on unlawful assemblies or foment trouble following the release of the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives.
The Police say it will not spare anyone arrested for fomenting trouble.
The acting Director of Public Affairs, ACP Kwesi Ofori disclosed this on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm.
According to him, the Police have deployed personnel nationwide to curb any disturbances that may arise following the release of the list.
ACP Kwesi Ofori warned aggrieved persons to use the appropriate quarters to address their concerns and stop engaging in unlawful activities.
He explained that the police administration has directed all the 18 Regional Commanders to make sure that they deploy personnel in the respective regions to maintain law and order.
“The police have increased their presence and visibility, especially in Accra. All the 14 divisions in Accra have deployed personnel across and the region’s command has also given them support, and we are monitoring development closely.”
He indicated that the Police are being proactive and not reactive to prevent all forms of lawlessness.
