GoldStar Air, a private and wholly-owned Ghanaian airline, has donated items worth Ghc30,000 to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture today at its premises.
The donation is geared towards supporting the upcoming UNWTO World Tourism Day Celebrations to be held at Hohoe in the Volta Region.
Mr. Eric Bannerman, CEO of Goldstar Air was led the company to hand over the special donation to the Ministry on Friday, September 24, 2021.
The purpose of the donation he explained was to support the ministry in relation to the event to augment the Ministry’s effort in supporting the growth of the Tourism sector for National development.
Receiving the items, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, Honourable Mark Okraku-Mantey thanked the Goldstar Air team for their kind gesture towards the development of the tourism sector.
The Chief Director of the Ministry, John Yao Agbeko, Mr. George Harrison Kankam, and other management staff members were present to witness the presentation.
Goldstar Air is a tourism-related organization working towards promoting the airline and tourism industry.
Officials of the Goldstar Air Team that presented the items included Mr. Edmund Lamptey (Executive Assistant), Mr. John Ashong Mettle* (Director of Cargo Service), Mr. Eric Omaboe (Head of Security), Mr. Edwin Lamptey (Cabin Crew), and Mr. Abraham Armah (Cabin Crew)
The items donated included 400 branded event T-shirts and 1000 pieces of Face shields.
