Isaac Kwame Tetteh, 31, a farmer at Assin Amanbete Larteh, near Assin Anyinabrim in the Assin South District of the Central Region is currently in critical condition at the St. Francis-Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu.
This was after his father allegedly butchered him following a misunderstanding over the palm wine business.
The victim in an interview with Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ambrose alleged that his father attacked him in his sleep.
He said his 63-year-old father, Gordon Teye inflicted cutlass wounds on him without any provocation.
According to the victim, his father could have inflicted the wounds on him following an argument he had with his junior brother over some trunks of palm wine they had tapped without his knowledge.
He said the father and his brother had prevented him from participating in the exercise and hired a third party to help them tap the palm wine.
The victim is said to have resisted the decision by his father and the brother following which they had a misunderstanding.
The victim said he left them and went home but in the evening at about 8 pm, the father wielding a cutlass, allegedly attacked him in his sleep.
The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting with the investigation.
