Renominated Chief Executive for the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) Ernest Arthur has been rejected for the second time by Assembly members.
He failed to secure the required votes to be confirmed by the assembly.
He could not garner the two-thirds majority to be confirmed as he only managed to get only 40 YES votes.
The nominee was rejected on Monday, September 27.
He polled 34 out of the 65 total votes.
The Central Region Minister, Marigold Assan, who was present at the venue knelt and pleaded with the assembly members to endorse the nominee.
However, her plea could not do any magic as the nominee was rejected for the second time.
