A tipper truck on Wednesday evening offloaded sand on a one-and-half-year-old toddler at Awutu Ahuntem, a community near Bawjiase in the Central Region.
Rainbow Radio had earlier published the story about the unfortunate incident.
Per what this website gathered, the father of the deceased minor had requested sand, and when the tipper truck arrived and he was alerted, he moved out to meet the driver.
However, unknown to the father, his son had followed him outside.
The father reportedly concentrated on directing the tipper truck driver on where he was to offload the sand.
The truck finished offloading and moved.
It was after the sand had been offloaded from the truck before the father realised his son was nowhere to be found.
A search was conducted, but the boy was not found.
The father and some other residents dug through the sand and found the lifeless body trapped in the sand.
The driver upon interrogation said he did not see the boy at the time he was offloading the sand as directed by the father of the boy.
