The immediate past District Chief Executive for Jaman North District, Adane Ankomah, has revealed that his administration has settled over 90 per cent of debt inherited from his predecessors.
Speaking to journalists during the Handing Over Ceremony to the new DCE Solomon Owusu, the former DCE stressed that he has accomplished a lot and prayed the new DCE would do far better.

He claimed that over 95 per cent of uncompleted projects inherited from the past District Chief Executives. have been worked completed.
He pleaded with Nananom, Christian Leaders, Assembly Members and other stakeholders to rally behind the newly confirmed DCE to ensure development in the district.
He noted that although he had cleared a huge amount of the debt he inherited, it does not mean that he did not leave any debt behind because ”I also did projects and other activities”.
He admonished the media to stop reporting negative stories about the district and focus on stories that would help transform the district.
He asked the media to work together with the assembly, demand accountability and ask questions when they lack understanding about an issue.
He said the district had seen a lot of transformation, and the new DCE must build on the foundation to ensure that the vision of President Akufo-Addo is realised.
He said the Media is a powerful means of information distribution hence the need for broader consultation with the DCE before anything is aired.
