Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service Superintendent Alexander Obeng has denied reports that dancehall musician Shatta Wale has been granted bail.
He said the investigation was still ongoing and the musician who faked a shooting incident a few days ago was still in custody together with 8 other suspects.
He further stated that the Police are likely to arraign the musician and the other suspects in court today, Thursday, October 21, 2021.
He advised Ghanaians to desist from engaging in lawlessness.
He said the Police will spare no one when it comes to maintaining law and order irrespective of class, status, and position in society.
He told the host of Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Kwabena Agyapong, that there are laws in Ghana, and anyone who breaks the law will face the consequences.
The Police arrested Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale over the publication of false house.
After the police publicly declared him and one other person wanted, the suspect, Shatta Wale, turned himself in today Tuesday 19th October, 2021, at 8.59pm.
He was arrested to assist the Police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.
