One of three suspects who were arrested in a fake kidnapping saga at Takoradi, in the Western region, Joana Krah, has pleaded guilty on two counts of deceiving a public officer and publication of false news.
Joana Krah pleaded guilty when she appeared before a Takoradi Habour Circuit Court A today, Monday, October 25, 2021.
The court was presided over by his honor Michael Ampadu.
The prosecutor Sergent Robert Amonoo Yawson in his submission to the court stated that the other two suspects Susana Awortwe and Francis Eshun had been granted bail following a confession from the lead suspect that they were involved in the issue.
The court deferred her sentencing for tomorrow, Tuesday October 26, 2021.
She has been held in Police custody awaiting her sentencing tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the two other accomplices have also been granted a police enquiry bail.
