Two Armed Robbers Shot Dead

The Ghana Police’s Operational and Intelligence Team have broken into a criminal cell in the Bono East and Savannah Regions, killing two alleged robbers in the process around Bole in the Savannah Region.

The Service, in a statement, said it broke into the criminal cell after weeks of painstaking investigations and covert operations.

The Police said the gang, who were allegedly planning another robbery attack, opened fire on their men when they were closing in on them, a situation that led to the death of two suspected robbers.

They have been identified as Iddrisu and Dramani Iddi.

The alleged leader of the gang, Ali Igudu, sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he is currently receiving medical care under Police guard.

Investigations gathered by the Police has revealed the gang were responsible for a series of robberies, kidnappings and murder cases in the two regions especially in the areas of Bole, Sawla, Banda-Nkwanta, Prang, Yeji, Kintampo, New Longoro and Techiman.

Multiple weapons and ammunition were also found at the scene.
