The Alliance for Social Equity and Social Accountability (ASEPA) has called for a parliamentary probe into an allegation of staged robbery on a Canadian citizen in Ghana.
ASEPA, in a statement, said its attention had been drawn to a viral video in which a lady made allegations of sexual harassment, patronizing, intimidation threats and staged robbery against the President of the Republic of Ghana and ”one Hopeson Adorye”.
ASEPA said it was not concerned about the infidelity or otherwise of the President of Ghana.
It said the publication of the explicit/compromising photos of the President on board the Presidential jet which is a National Security asset and also from the hotel room of the President and her allegation of a staged robbery by National Security Operatives with the ”direct knowledge of the President of the Republic of Ghana whiles she was in Ghana in 2019”, was troubling
To them, this is an issue that requires the full attention of Parliament because it involves direct criminality against the sitting President of the Republic of Ghana.
ASEPA also believes the issue cast a slur on the image of Ghana as far as the Foreign Direct Investment is concerned.
