The mother of Ibrahim Anyass Mohammed, aka Kaaka, has petitioned the Police Intelligence and Police Professional Standards (PIPS) admonishing it to initiate a probe into the allegations of professional misconduct made against the Ejura Police.
The family submitted the petition on Thursday, October 28, 2021, and contains allegations made public by the report of the Ministerial Committee set up to investigate the Ejura killings.
The family spokesperson, Nafiu Mohammed, in a statement to inform the public about the petition said stated that “the allegations of corruption in the view of the mother of Kaaka, raise critical questions about the integrity of the Ghana Police Service.”
The family spokesperson indicated that they expect an appropriate criminal and administrative sanctions applied against the Ejura Police.
The family further copied the Inspector-General of Police, Attorney General, and the Minister for Interior in the letter.
