Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, has called for the immediate dismissal of the personnel from the Ghana Police Service and personnel from the Military who clashed at Suame, in the Ashanti Region on Friday, October 29, 2021.
He said some things should not be tolerated in Ghana, and one such thing is a clash between two sets of security agencies.
The Suame Police Command in the Ashanti Region was attacked by armed military officers over the arrest of a soldier using an unlicensed motorcycle
The six military officers were allegedly called in by their colleague Staff Sergeant Jamel upon his arrest and detention allegedly assaulted the Police officer at the post.
The incident has created some chaotic scenes in the area with residents living in fear of what next could happen.
Reacting to the clash, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu said it is not something we should entertain, and all the personnel involved in the clash must be dismissed immediately.
”There are things that should never be tolerated. One of them is a clash between two sets of security personnel-policemen and soldiers.
Everyone involved in that fracas at Suame must be dismissed forthwith. That level of indiscipline is simply not tolerable.”
