The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) High Commands have i8ssued a joint statement following the attack on the Suame Police Command by some military personnel following the arrest of a military man for driving an unlicensed motorbike.
The statement said the said soldier who was not in uniform is with the Infantry Batallion was arrested and sent to the Suame Police Station for investigations.
He then called his colleagues who came to the station, a misunderstanding ensued between the Police and Soldiers.
The statement disclosed the impasse was resolved by the Regional Police Commander and the Commanding Officer of the Batallion.
The two security agencies have started investigating the matter and everyone found capable would be dealt with administratively and according to law, the statement added.
