One out of three Police officers who sustained injuries following the accident at Walewale in the North East has passed on.
The three officers were on October 22, 2021, were airlifted to Accra together with the two officers who died in the accident.
The bodies of deceased police officers, Chief Inspector James Akakose Aroma and Constable Nii Osekle Charles who died in a fatal accident were airlifted to Accra.
The police officers were responding to an emergency call of a robbery attack on the Walewale -Bolgatanga road.
Constable Akanvariwen Daniel, Constable Ezekiel Quarshie Tawiah and Constable Iddrisu Gafaru, who were also injured were also airlifted to Accra for further treatment.
However, an update provided by the Police has shown that Constable Gafaru has died while on admission receiving treatment
He would be buried today, Sunday, 31, October 2021.
