The Odzikro of Enyan Akotroguah in the Ajumanko Enyan Assiam District in the central region of Ghana led by Nana Osei Atta Gyan has Commissioned an ultra-modern CHIP compound and 8-bedroom apartment for Doctors and midwives who would be working there.
According to him, the project forms part of his Christmas gift to the medical officers.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony Nana Osei Atta Gyan said he supported the whole project from the beginning to the end and said his vision is to ensure that the economic condition of the people is improved.
He said the 8-bedroom apartment would go a long way to help the doctors and midwives sent to the area to have a place to stay.
According to him, he did everything from his personal resources with government intervention.
Meanwhile, he has appealed to the government to assist them with portable drinking water because they don’t have any water system around the community.
The situation he lamented was not the best since it deprives children in the area of an opportunity to go to school on time.
”We need the government’s support, and the Ghana Water Company should also help us before Christmas. The bad road network is another problem hindering the community, and this has led to lower productivity by the end of the year.
