The Ashanti Regional Police Commander has arrested the Chief Executive Officer nominee for Juaben for allegedly paying bribes to assembly members to endorse him.
The arrest was in connection to a viral video of the nominee in which he admitted to paying bribes to some 26 assembly members but was rejected for the second time.
He was seen in the video demanding his money because he could not be confirmed.
He is said to have paid Ghc5,000 each to the 26 assembly members.
He was granted bail after his statement was taken, a statement from the Police said.
