The Police recently arrested two persons in the Eastern Region who stripped two teenagers naked and paraded them on the streets of Akuapem Adawso.

The victims were subjected to this abuse with their hands tied after being accused of allegedly stealing ¢100 and a mobile phone.

The incident which saw the two 14-year-olds assaulted by a mob occurred on Friday, October 29 in the Akuapem North Municipality.

They were paraded without clothes through the Tinkong stretch of the Koforidua -Mamfe highway to the Adawso township.

The Police arrested the suspects and currently prosecuting them after the video went viral on social media.

The uncle, in the latest update, said the boys have been on admission and are currently responding to treatment.

”The victims are currently on admission at the Police Hospital. Doctors are treating them, and they are responding to treatment. We have also gathered that the suspects would be arraigned in court for what they did.

The families of the victims are extremely grateful to the Inspector-General for the interest he had in the case,” he added.
