A private individual has donated desks and chairs to pupils at Obonsu DA Primary in the Ashanti Region.
The donation came after Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm filed a report on the state in which the students were learning.

The Pupils of Obonsu DA Primary School had appealed to authorities to operationalize a six-classroom block completed in the area so they would start using it.
The pupils were forced to study under trees because the old school block is in a deplorable state.

The report, as was filled by reporter Fiifi Ankomah attracted the benevolence of UK based businessman Samuel Mascot Amiah who donated over 100 desks and chairs for the deprived institution.
The businessman speaking to Rainbow Radio indicated that he was touched by the story hence his decision to donate the items.

The Headteacher of the school Gyan Benedict was full of praise to Rainbow Radio and the businessman for the kind gesture.
He said the pupils and teachers, and the entire community were grateful for the support they received.

As Oliver Twist would ask for more, he passionately appealed for more support.

He disclosed that the library in the school needed more books.
He said they would also need stationery and other items that could enhance teaching and learning in the school.
