The Ministry of Finance has given financial clearance for the recruitment of 16,850 newly trained teachers for the Ghana Education Service.
Approval has also been given for their emoluments to be charged against the Compensation of Employees vote of the Ministry of Education in the 2021 budget.
A statement issued by the Ministry asked the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service to ensure that the newly trained teachers have their documents processed in time and placed on the mechanized payroll early enough to enable the Controller and Accountant General’s Department to effect payment of their salaries.
