We must hammer on the hardship the NPP has created-Sammy Gyamfi to NDC Communicators

November 22, 2021

The National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has urged party communicators to amplify the bad governance of the ruling government.

He said some disappointed NPP members are making frivolous claims that the NPP and NDC were the same.

He noted that the two parties were not the same because the NDC was far superior compared to the NPP when it comes to economic management.

He was addressing party communicators and supporters in the Western North region as part of the party’s aim to capture power in the 2024 general elections.

He opined that Ghanaians were facing extreme hardship, and that is something the party communicators must focus on while proposing their alternative.

He said the NPP promised to provide a leadership that will transform lives and provide opportunities but the leadership they have provided a leadership worsening the lives of the people.

He posited that the NPP raised the hopes of Ghanaians ”so high” but have failed the people.

They promised to move Ghana from taxation to production, but they have introduced new taxes.

He mentioned some of the taxes such as the increment of VAT (5%), Special Import Levy National (2%), Stabilization levy (5%), Energy Sector Levy and just recently 2021, the imposition of COVID levy on health insurance and the digital tax known as ‘Bawumiah’s tax’.

He stressed that the NPP had created more hardship through the introduction of new nuisance taxes.

He further asked the party communicators to up their game and communicate effectively to make the NDC more attractive to Ghanaians so they would be able to win power come 2024.

The lawyer also asked the communicators to point out the flaws of the government, in embarking on cocoa road projects.

He accused the NPP of abandoning several road projects started by the NDC.
