A young man is currently on the run after allegedly killing his girlfriend and hiding her body in a double-decker fridge.
The incident occurred at Ho-Fiave in the Volta region.
Public Relations Officer for the region command, DSP Afia Tenge has revealed that neighbours of the suspect broke into his building after they sensed an unbearable stench emanating from his room on Monday, November 22.
They were shocked at what they discovered and informed the police about the incident.
There were house flies also hovering around Frank’s windows and door, the Police said.
The suspect whose name was given as Frank is currently on the run.
An investigative team proceeded to the scene.
After arriving at the scene, the Police conducted a careful inspection of the crime scene and discovered that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition and kept in a white double-decker refrigerator was conveyed to the Ho Municipal Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
