The Tema West Municipal Assembly Task Force has been attacked by an irrate youth at Baatsona.
The taskforce were embarking on an exercise as part of “Making Accra Work Again,” today, Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
The taskforce were executing a demolition exercise led by the Tema West Municipal Assembly but we’re attacked by some irate youth at Baatsona on the Spintex Road, with machetes and other adapted tools meant to cause injury and harm.
According to the Police, whilst rescuing the works engineer and members of the task force there was a gunshot.
Some of the irate youth have been arrested with some others sustaining injuries.
One person was also shot dead in an attempt to slash a police officer with a machete.
The area is said to be a haven for the sale of illicit drugs and sex trade.
