The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has expressed strong optimism that the Tax Exemptions Bill 2021 will be passed by Parliament at its next meeting.
The Minister made the remarks at a press briefing that the bill was important hence Parliament will consider and pass it in at its next meeting.

The Tax Exemptions Bill was first laid in Parliament on behalf of the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta on November 16, 2021.
The bill seeks to streamline the tax exemption regime in the country.
It was first laid on the floor of parliament in 2019, was not passed before the tenure of the 7th Parliament elapsed on 7th January 2021.
The object of the Bill is to rationalize the current exemptions regime on taxes, levies, fees, and charges to improve domestic revenue mobilization.
