The Ga Central Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) Mohammed Bashuru was forced to drive off after angry residents demonstrating at Agape hooted at him.
The MCE was there to address the demonstrators during a protest to demand good roads in the area.
The MCE in his submission claimed the opposition NDC was behind the demonstration.
The demonstrators who were angered by the comments by the MCE hooted at him and asked him to leave the area.
They described him as a shameless MCE for claiming that they were sponsored by the NDC to stage the demonstration.
According to them, they were only demanding better roads and their request has no political colour.
They asked President Akufo-Addo to fix the poor roads because their businesses and livelihood have been threatened.
