Parliament has approved a €150 million design and build contract for the Peduase-Mamfe-Koforidua road.
The contract is between the government of Ghana, Messrs QGMI and Rango Construction Company Limited.
The Roads and Transport Committee, its Chairman Hon. Kingsley Osei- Nyarko moving the motion for the adoption of the report said the project will involve the dualization of the Mamfe to Koforidua stretch.
According to him, the project is expected to reduce travel time and vehicle operating costs on the Peduase- Mamfe-Koforidua road.
The €150m project is expected to be completed in 30 months with the upgrading of a total of 51km of the existing main road and 55km of selected community roads.
