The Municipal Chief Executive for Ablekuma West has announced the commencement of this year’s annual trading and exhibition festival.
The MCE, Hon. George Blay was interviewed by Kwabena Agyapong on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM to elaborate on the reasons for the organisation of this festival.
He explained that the festival which is supposed to start from today to Sunday includes events such as football, basketball and the exhibition of all kinds of products which will enable people to purchase at affordable prices.
He further went on by acknowledging and thanking his sponsors by supporting their three-day festival.
He later went on to say that, this festival will enable natives of Dansoman to stay in their town instead of travelling from Dansoman to other towns to celebrate the festive season since there will be a display of goods from market women and display of talent from the town.
He added that the festival would foster unity, cohesion, and ensure residents deliberate and find ways to make the municipality a better one.
He encouraged the residents to participate fully in the festival and help make the season a memorable one.
