The mother of twelve-year-old Agnes Bonah who has been diagnosed with spinal complications, Dina Aba Amissah is appealing for financial support of GHC106,579.00. to enable her sick daughter to undergo a surgical operation.
The amount covers her hospital charges including theatre, recovery room, ward stay, feeding, medication, physiotherapy, X-rays, and lab tests among others.
Agnes according to her medical records is suffering from spinal disorder (spinal scoliosis) over the past three years.
She was initially taken to the Ga North Municipal Hospital, Asofan where she was referred to the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital both in Accra.
The teaching hospital also referred her to a specialist hospital (Focos Orthopedic Hospital) where she was diagnosed and told of the amount needed for the treatment.
Miss Amissah who is a casual worker in a manufacturing firm and a mother of two says her income is too meager to raise the money that will enable her sick daughter to receive care.
She is therefore appealing for support for the sake of the primary 6 school girl.
