Saltpond: Alleged coconut thief falls from tree to his death

A 50-year-old man, Kwabina Tantan, has died after falling from a coconut tree at Saltpond in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

The incident happened Thursday dawn around 4:30 am.

According to information gathered, the 50-year-old man had climbed the tree to steal from its owner, who is an elderly man in the community.

A reliable source also indicates the deceased is fond of stealing coconut in the community.

It has also emerged that the deceased was a trader who sold coconut in the area.
