Lack of discipline and unity can bring us defeat in 2024-Prez to NPP

December 19, 2021

President Akufo-Addo has told members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that every step they will take towards 2024 is going to be decisive as to whether they will win the 2024 polls or not.

The first gentleman of the land said the Ghanaian people are looking at the NPP today, and continue to look at them until 2024 so the more discipline, unity there is among them will determine their victory in 2024.

According to the president, the party cannot avoid competition as the party is preparing to open nomination for the presidential candidacy.

But the competition should not divide the party and thwart their chances for the 2024 general elections, he continued.

He asked the party to allow the competition to help them and not hinder them from breaking the 8-year jinx.

He admitted that the party was aware of the difficulties Ghanaians were going through “largely inspired by the slow down of the Covid-19 outbreak”.

Addressing party delegates at the National Delegates Conference, on Sunday, December 19, 2021, he said the government was determined to come out of the situation through the management and policies outlined including the ‘Obaatanpa Programme’.
