The government of Ghana says it does not recognize vaccination certificates from Malta.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry announcing a travel ban on all travellers from Malta.
The travel ban takes effect today, Monday, December 20, 2021.
According to the Ministry, the ban has become necessary due to the Omicron variant detected in Malta.
It has therefore asked the general public to take note and adhere to the ban accordingly.
