The leadership of the Ghana Association of Certified Registered Ånaesthetists (GACRA) has announced their decision to withdraw all its services.
GACRA says the decision to withdraw their services will take effect on January 1, 2021.
They claim that ”the Ministry of Health has failed to address the concerns of the members of GACRA raised in a letter dated 16th November, 2021 and titled ‘A PETITION AND A WAKE-UP CALL TO AVERT AN IMWNENTIADUSTRIAL ACTION’ addressed to the National Labour Commission (NLC) which was distributed to the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.
That, the request from the members of GACRAin a letter (communique) dated 4th December, 2021 requesting the Ministry of Health to direct the Medical and Dental Council (MDC) to automatically extend the renewal of retention and correct the Certificates of all CRAS as “‘CERTIFIED REGISTERED ANAESTHETIST” covering the period 2022 and other related issues have not received any attention.”
